Decadents are taught that the rabble of existence is of no consequence next to the acquisition of new wealth; that there is no law or being paramount to the attainment of Cynosure. As such, decadents are often feared by the general populace—one can rarely tell how far a decadent will go to protect his assets, or acquire new ones.
