It has in fact been put forth by some that perhaps eidola are impervious to injury and age alike. While this is to date as unfounded as any other eidolan myth, it is notable that the odd eidolan farmhand will make acquaintance with two or three generations of the same family before moving on, with few if any signs of visible age—at the very least, they appear to be exceptionally long-lived.
