However, even if it did, the figure would almost certainly be lower than the truth. While ash-adjusted sylph are not categorically labelled abominations by the theocracy, they are denied certain opportunities officially—such as serving the CHC in any leadership capacity—and unofficially—such as being able to purchase homes in certain neighborhoods. There can be little doubt that many sylph who can breathe Erjan air would be hesitant to report such a status.
